Mr Thomas Docherty 

BA (Hons) in History and International Relations, QTS certification (Primary Teacher), Department of Education, UK  

Tom joined the BVIS family in 2021. Prior to moving to Vietnam, Tom was based in London where he taught in both the state and private sectors. Tom has a passion for teaching synthetic phonics to young learners and to those who are new to the English language. He is fascinated by children’s innate curiosity and provides young learners with plenty of opportunities to explore and make sense of their world. Tom prides himself on creating a positive and nurturing classroom environment in which children are inquisitive, confident and happy. Outside of school, Tom is a keen film photographer and has an ardent interest in the arts.
