The school uniform is a means of showing our identity and pride in our school to the wider community as well as being practical school wear.  All children from F1 through to Year 13 are expected to wear the school uniform every day. A full set of standard school uniform is provided to each student as part of the annual fee structure.

School uniform shops are located at the Binh Chanh campuses and are open during school hours from Monday to Friday.

A detailed listing of the full uniform for each Mile Post can be downloaded from the file below.

In conjunction with the standard school uniform, below are some added details to take into consideration.  It is also recommended that all uniforms are labeled with your child's name to avoid mix ups.

Shoes:  Sensible black leather shoes (Foundation Stage 1 & 2 exempt) or closed toe sandals, preferable without laces for the younger children.  F1 & F2 should wear sensible shoes or closed toe sandals to aid the growth and development of small feet.

Socks:  White, black or grey ankle high socks.

Hair:  Long hair should be tied back with a red or maroon soft hair band. No bandana style head bands or hair accessories which include hard bobbles are to be worn.

Hats:  Children should always wear school hats when they are outside to protect them from the sun.  BIS has a 'no hat - no play' policy.

PE Kit/Swimming:  From Foundation Stage 3 upwards, children must change into their PE or Swimming kit for any physical activity.  They require sports shoes for outdoor PE activities. Children will change back into their school uniform after PE or Swimming.

Secondary students are expected to present in a professional and tidy fashion and show respct for their appearance and pride in their appearance.

Other items to note are.

Sweater: Only school sweaters may be worn.

Hair:  Should be neat, clean and of a natural colour.  No extremes are permitted.

Make-up and/or nail varnish:  This is not allowed.

Jewellery:  Small items will be allowed within reason.  As a rule of thumb: one pair of plain earrings or studs, worn in the lobe of the ear; one plain ring; one plain necklace; bracelet-friendship bands within reason (2 maximum); no visible tatoos or body piercings.

PE and Drama:  Only school kit may be worn in PE lessons.  Students may change into suitable shorts and t-shirts for Drama lessons.
