La Côte International School Hosts the Commune of Aubonne
On Tuesday 17th June, La Côte International School (LCIS) welcomed the syndic and representatives of the Conseil Communal of Aubonne to our new campus. Wendy Ellis, LCIS’ Principal, Alison Piguet, Head of School, and Patrice Zufferey, project manager, hosted the event. The guests had a tour of the nearly completed campus and were presented with the project and school vision. Many of the guests had not been to the site since the original “Big Dig” event, which occurred over 18months ago, and were amazed with the progress and the facilities of the school. M Luc-Etienne Rossier, Syndic of Aubonne, was particularly impressed with the internal courtyard design, which allows light to flow into all of the classrooms along the centre of the building.
“We look forward to being proactive in creating synergies between the commune of Aubonne and the school. Our 250 seat theatre, and our 430m2 indoor sports gym will be made available to local drama groups, musical ensembles, dance groups and sport groups” said Alison Piguet.
