I graduated from the University of Bristol with a BA in Music and later decided to complete my PGCE at the University of Sussex. I knew even then that I wanted to work with young people and music and so becoming a music teacher seemed like the obvious thing to do.
I have spent the last seven years working at the West London Free School, where I have held several whole-school responsibilities in my role as Assistant Head. This will be my first International post and one that both I and my family are very much looking forward to – it will be delightful to work in such a fantastic building and to really extend the music offer that is currently in place.
My interests lie predominantly in the Arts with a strong focus on a cappella and folk music. I play the violin and am passionate about musical theatre. I am excited to take on the musical direction of school productions and performances and very much look forward to working with Justin and Ruth on some very exciting projects.
