Students from Grade 11 raised money for local and international organisations. The boys from Grade 11, Estanislao Martínez, Afik Erez and Geraint Saich organised a Bake Sale & Food Drive where they raised a total of 700 euros and more than 50 food items for cats and dogs of the charity Peludos Salvados – El Campito. The money also went towards the construction of an extension in the facilities at the pet home and the materials for cat-flaps.
Eugenia Martínez, Michaela Jimenez and Caroline Pack also raised money for the organisation Seeway Tanzania. They organized a food and accessorize sale during the Parent Association Winter Bazaar.
With the money they raised they were able to buy shoes and school materials for children in Tanzania and on the recent Expedition to Tanzania the students took everything to them (as you can see from the photograph).
As we step into the new school year, Mr. O'Neill shared a powerful message with the students: starting school is like beginning a new chapter in the book of our lives.
