Year 1 Production: Alice The Musical Year One recently entertained us all with their presentation of Lewis Carroll’s famous tale of Alice’s journey into Wonderland. As Alice follows a white rabbit into his burrow, she unlocks a door that leads both her and the audience into a bright and magical world of fantasy. It is a tale of flawed logic and immense fun, communicated in style, through the children’s fantastic performances. IMG_2139 HERO1

Year One put on a magnificent performance of ‘Alice the Musical’ for Lower Campus and family members on the 20th and 21st of March. The scenery was a colourful backdrop of witty characters who were portrayed with great enthusiasm by the students.

The story is about a little girl called Alice who comes across a very curious white rabbit. After perhaps unwisely deciding to follow the rabbit to his home, Alice follows the white rabbit into his burrow.

She then unlocks a door that leads both her and the audience into a bright and magical world of fantasy. It is a tale of flawed logic and immense fun, communicated fantastically by the children’s magical performances on stage.

The show was full of exceptional performances, as every child showed off their courage and poise under the bright lights of the stage. Their singing was joyful and the acting showed humour and great confidence. We could not be more proud of our students’ effort and personal growth.

A big thank you to Ms Harbuck for her wonderful musical expertise, Mrs Alirezaei, Ms Austin, Ms Shuvaeva, Mrs Korotina and Mr Espin for their lighting and hard work and, of course, a big thank you to all the parents who not only provided students with their costumes, but also helped the children learn their lines and perform so well.

We hope all the audiences enjoyed being transported to ‘Wonderland’, if only for one magical day.
