International Week took place at the Rosinka Campus from Monday the 4th to Friday the 8th of November. Our wonderful parents from all over the world joined forces to transform the classrooms into their home countries.
The children travelled across the globe in less than six hours and visited many countries, including Russia, Germany, Turkey, South Korea, Greece, Italy, Latin America, Sweden, South Africa, Ireland and the United Kingdom.
Students also tasted some truffle-like brigadeiro sweets in the Latin American room. The children were busy working with slime pretzels in the German room and making pasta necklaces in the colours of the Italian flag in the Italian room. In the Irish room, the children took part in a group Irish dance, ‘The Wolves of Limerick’ and had some fun dancing over a brush. Some of the younger students took part in pinning the hat on a leprechaun.
In the Russian room, the children took part in a range of activities, including: Out-of-this-world space adventure involving astronaut food, space virtual reality and soviet astronaut history.
During the week, the children also had the opportunity to focus on a specific country by learning about the art, cuisine and language of that country. The children enjoyed two dress up days. On the Monday they dressed in their own country colours or traditional costume and on Friday they dressed in the colours of the country that they were learning about.
On Friday, we also had an International Week Bake Sale which was very generously organised by the parents of our school. The children were able to take a break from their travels by visiting it during the day.

Reading is a fundamental skill that lays the foundation for a child's academic success and lifelong learning. To ensure your child becomes a proficient reader, it is essential to focus on improving their reading comprehension skills from a young age.
