We are very proud of the array of talents that our students have to offer at ISM and we love to celebrate this. Even in the midst of the coldest of winter month the warmth came through in each of our Talent Show performances.
The afternoon of the 11th of February will live long in the memory of all who viewed Upper Primary’s ISM’s Got Talent. Despite the current restrictions in place, eighteen talented students still managed to perform live and share their wonderful talents with Upper Primary students and parents watching from around the world.
With the help of Mr Langford and Mr Perre, the Primary Music Room was turned into a live studio showcasing the talented finalists from all Upper Primary classes. Weeks of auditions and agonising decisions resulted in the final eighteen acts.
The show consisted of wonderful singers, dance acts, rubik's cube solving, piano playing, drummers, violinists, flutists and a comedy magic act. The standard of each performance was genuinely excellent and much credit should be given to all students for their hard work, confidence and bravery in performing in front of such a large live audience. Performing in front of an audience has its challenges but performing solely for a small camera has arguably many more and each performer met these challenges superbly well.
After much deliberation between the judges the top three places went to:
Bronze: Tongshan - For playing the drums amazingly well to Boulevard of Broken Dreams by Green Day.
Silver: Denis - For singing Dynamite by BTS.
Gold: Elizaveta & Grigory - For playing acoustic guitar and singing Radioactive by Imagine Dragons.
