In my opinion, the highlight of this music year must surely be the 'Spring Concert'!

With mellow instrumental tunes and melodic children's voices intertwining to create a beautiful symphony of joy, ISM’s Spring Concert is a glorious ode to the blossoming season.

Held online due to current restrictions, our Spring Concert 2021 was indeed a success to behold. Each and every campus prepared its own unique programme to surprise and amaze the audience:

Michael Perre, organiser and Primary and Secondary Music Teacher, on Upper Campus’s Spring Concert:

Usually, everyone would simply expect amazing class performances, yet, this concert included brave solo performances and original compositions written, rehearsed on newly learnt instruments and filmed. We are very thankful to our experienced IMP teachers, who prepared so many polished, confident performances.

This concert was a team effort of hardworking students, dedicated teachers and support classroom teachers. I'll leave the most important people for last and give a special thank you to all the parents who supported, drove, fed and encouraged our students to musical excellence. I am personally very proud to have been involved and look forward to seeing incredible future performances.

Katrina Perre, organiser and Music Coordinator on Lower Campus, on Years One to Four and EYFS’s Spring Concerts:

This year's Year One to Four Spring Concert showcases the songs, pieces and performances students have learned in class during the school year. All solo performances are from the current Year Four, who have sung and played the ukulele and gifted us with beautiful serenades, timeless classics, traditional music, and pop. Year Three have developed some excellent rhythm skills using bucket drumming, and all year groups had fun singing a variety of songs from their STEAM Week in school to percussion play along and music pieces that make us happy. Years One to Four also helped to decorate the backdrop by producing over 500 coloured flowers for the spring theme. A fabulous week recording and filming, lots of laughs had by all and a fantastic opportunity for all classes to see the marvellous musical output from Lower Campus.

Speaking of the EYFS Spring Concert, Nursery and Reception classes chose their favourite pieces and songs and produced a combination of performance pieces, songs, games, and musical experiences they loved this year.

They have been working very hard at mastering every song, using singing voices, percussion and movement to music. The concert showcased all the amazing things students had learned, showing how much they have grown and developed over the last year.

Katrina Fountain, organiser and Music Coordinator at Rosinka, on the Rosinka Spring Concert:

Spring concert - again held online - with each year group performing their own song. Year Three teachers added a little chuckle to their year group's song, entitled It Is To Laugh. We had Year Six singing Dancing In The Moonlight, with a special dance from Anastasia. Year One sang a fabulous song,'I'm So Glad to Be Here, and the most fun was had by Year Six with their bucket drumming. Following the original Thriller by Michael Jackson, children dressed as zombies even managed to scare Mr Ferran and Mr Charlton, who skipped off into the sunset!
