Secondary Campus Weekly Update - Secondary Campus Weekly Update 20 Oct 2025

Dear Parents,

I hope you and your loved ones had a lovely half-term break last week. As we embark on this new term, I would also like to extend my warmest wishes for a Happy Diwali to those celebrating this vibrant festival of lights, a time for reflection, joy, and togetherness.

This morning, students were welcomed by our school values proudly displayed on the walls. A huge well done to the School Leadership Council for their thoughtful contributions and for ‘leaving a lasting legacy.’

I am thrilled to share that the launch of House Fridays before half term was a tremendous success! It was heartwarming to see so many of our students embracing their House spirit, showcasing creativity and enthusiasm in their attire and activities. We are all very excited on campus to witness our students supporting their Houses each week as we watch those House Points totals climb. This sense of community and friendly competition truly enriches our school environment.

Additionally, we are delighted to welcome BSO Inspectors into our school this week. This visit presents a fantastic opportunity for us to showcase all the remarkable initiatives and achievements happening at NAIS Hong Kong. We are proud of our students and staff, and I am confident that their hard work will shine through.

Wishing you all a wonderful week ahead.

Senior Maths Challenge Reflection – Mr. McIntosh/Miss. Teh

Secondary Campus Weekly Update - Secondary Campus Weekly Update 20 Oct 2025

The Senior UKMT Maths Challenge took place on Friday, 10th October, and proved to be quite demanding for the participants. It tested a range of problem-solving skills with intricate puzzles and logical questions that required both quick thinking and deep reasoning. The challenge was designed to push students beyond their usual mathematical comfort zones, often involving tricky patterns and creative solutions. While the Intermediate and Junior challenges are scheduled later in the year, the Senior level already proved to be a rigorous assessment of mathematical ability. Many students found it both stimulating and challenging, highlighting the importance of strategic thinking and perseverance. Overall, it was a tough but rewarding experience that encouraged students to think critically under pressure.

Match Reports

U16 Girls Netball
On Monday, 6th October, our U16 girls' netball team faced off against German Swiss in a challenging match that showcased their incredible spirit and determination. Despite the final score not reflecting their effort, the girls demonstrated remarkable resilience and courage throughout the game.

From the outset, the team approached each quarter with an open mind, adapting to the fast-paced style of their opponents. They worked seamlessly together, showing great respect for one another and the game itself, maintaining a positive attitude even when the going got tough.

Looking ahead, the team is set to face West Island School in their final match after the October break. With the lessons learned from this match and their unwavering spirit, we are confident they will bring their best effort and continue to grow as a team.

Well done, girls! Your hard work and dedication are truly commendable.
