Dear Parents,
What a fantastic week we have planned at NAIS HK, featuring the spectacular Oliver! show, Sports Day, and International Women's Day celebrations for all our students! Our school thrives on the energy of events like these, where students showcase their talents in Oliver!, compete with enthusiasm at Sports Day, and honour women's achievements on International Women's Day—this mix of creativity, athleticism, and inspiration highlights the vibrant heartbeat of NAIS HK. Your involvement—whether cheering at Sports Day, attending the Oliver! production, or joining Women's Day activities—strengthens our community and empowers our children to shine, creating lasting memories and a supportive environment for growth.

International Women’s Day (8th March)

Celebrating International Women’s Day: Give to Gain
On Sunday, 8th March, we join the global community in celebrating International Women’s Day. This day marks over a century of collective action and advocacy for gender equality, recognising the incredible achievements of women past and present.
The 2026 theme is "Give to Gain," a call to forge a more inclusive world through intentional support and generosity. At our school, we believe that when we invest in the potential of women and girls, our entire community thrives.
Show Your Support: Purple Ribbon Sale
To commemorate this day and support the ongoing journey toward equality, we will be selling purple ribbons throughout next week.
We are also excited to host a special edition #FiresideFriday on 6th March, in celebration of International Women's Day. This session will take place in the Secondary Auditorium from 8:20 am – 9:45 am for all Year 12 and Year 13 students. We are honoured to welcome a distinguished panel of four inspiring speakers from diverse professional background who will share their personal higher education journeys and career experiences. This will be followed by an interactive Q&A session driven entirely by student questions.

KS3 STEAM Week (9th – 13th March) – Building for the extreme
Next week in Computer Science lessons, students will embark on a challenge presented by MIT. At the end of the challenge, students submit their work to the MIT team for evaluation! The theme of the challenge is adaptability. To bring this concept to life across the school, each KS3 subject area will also be linking one lesson activity to this concept throughout the week. We look forwards to some exciting and creative activities to report on next week.

Student Photos (9th – 13th March)
Dear Kwun Tong Parents,
We are pleased to share that our annual school photo days for the Kwun Tong Campus will take place from 9th–13th March 2026.
To ensure all students look their best, please make sure your child wears their full school uniform on their allocated photo day. PE kits should not be worn on this day.
Your child’s specific photo date and time will be shared with students and parents at the end of this week.
We will also be offering sibling photo sessions again this year. To help us plan and coordinate the schedule, we kindly ask interested parents to register their interest using this link. This is not a formal sign-up; it simply allows us to estimate numbers and organise the sessions effectively.
We look forward to capturing many wonderful moments during the photo days this year. If you have any questions, please feel free to reach out.

Year 8 Parents’ Evening (11th March)
Our Year 8 Parents’ Evening will take place on Wednesday 11th March. This is the designated Year 8 Parents’ Evening for this academic year and provides a key opportunity to discuss your child’s academic progress, engagement and overall development so far.
Appointments will be available both in person from 3.00pm – 5.00pm and then online from 5.30pm – 7.30pm. Each appointment will last 5 minutes.
We strongly encourage both parents and students to attend. These meetings are an important checkpoint at this stage of Year 8, allowing families and teachers to reflect on strengths, identify areas for growth, and ensure students are well supported for the remainder of the year.
Please log in to School Cloud to book your appointments. Bookings will open one week prior to the event at 3.00pm on Wednesday 4th March 2026.

Student Wellbeing Committee Update
The Student Wellbeing Committee has had a busy and meaningful time, and we're thrilled to share some highlights with our school community.
🌸 Dress Down Day – Friday, 13 February
We kicked things off with a festive Dress Down Day in the theme of Chinese cultural elements celebrating both Chinese New Year and Valentine's Day. Students and staff showed wonderful spirit, and together we raised an incredible $2,082 HKD, which was donated to Mother's Choice to support children in foster care during the festive season. Thank you to everyone who participated and contributed to this heartfelt cause.
🎤 House Public Speaking Competition – Friday, 27 February
In our first week back after the break, students organised and took part in a House Public Speaking Competition on the theme "I am thankful for..." . Standing in front of a microphone is no small feat, and we were truly inspired by the courage so many students showed in sharing their gratitude, love, and appreciation. The auditorium was filled with warmth and positive energy throughout both lunch sessions.
A special thank you to Olivia and Shlok (Year 9) , who stepped up as student adjudicators and handled their roles with professionalism and enthusiasm. And a huge congratulations to House Balmoral, who claimed a massive number of House points through their participation and success on the day!
These events remind us of the power of gratitude, community, and student leadership. We're so proud of what our Wellbeing Committee has achieved so far—and there's plenty more to come.

Sports Match Reports
U14 Boys Badminton
Our U14 boys' badminton team hosted Malvern College on Tuesday at our Lam Tin campus. The singles matches were highly competitive with some scintillating badminton on show on court one involving Jason Y; a very tight game on court two with Jason T, and on court three Hugo controlling the game. At the end of the singles games the score was 1-2 to Malvern College. The team still had plenty to be confident with heading into the doubles. The three doubles games once more produced quality badminton with our boys winning 2-1, meaning the final score for the fixture was 3-3 with honours shared with Malvern College. An evening that was a great example of being competitive, fair, and determined by all those that participated.
U16 Boys A Badminton
The U16 boys A team produced a thrilling and hard-fought performance against CAIS, coming away with a 5–1 victory in a string of tightly contested matches. Every game was won or lost by the narrowest of margins, showcasing our squad’s grit and competitive spirit. Jaxton pushed his singles match all the way to a third-set tiebreaker and only narrowly missed out, while the doubles pairing of Tony and Marcus also went to a deciding tiebreak but prevailed 15–11 to secure a crucial point. The energy, focus, and teamwork on court were outstanding throughout.
This important triumph keeps us unbeaten in the league and sitting proudly at the top of the table as we head into the final two matches before the playoffs. The players’ resilience in close situations and their ability to support each other under pressure bode very well for the run-in — confidence is high and the squad is firing at the right time.
U16 Boys B Badminton
NAIS HK's U16 Boys B team played out a thrilling 3-3 draw against ICHK in a contest defined by razor-thin margins. The team faced a difficult situation after losing the singles leg 2-1, with two matches going to a third set. The doubles rubbers proved just as tense, going down to the last points. The match featured an amazing display of powerful smash shots and delicate finesse at the net. Outstanding performances from Jasper, Preston and Kayden led the comeback. Having trailed after the singles, fighting back to secure a draw was a respectable result for both teams in this closely contested encounter.
