A school that advocates for competition & celebration: our children: FOBISIA Mathematics & Creative Writing
Dear Parents and Guardians,
We are delighted to share that children will be taking part in a Primary FOBISIA Maths Competition in Shanghai, an exciting event that brings together young mathematicians from schools across the region. We are delighted to offer this opportunity of challenge, travel and excitement for our children. I would like to thank our teachers who will accompanying our children, Ms. Harris who has organised and led this event and Mr. Beaumont and Ms. Zhang who will be supporting on the trip.
Throughout the competition, our children will get a chance to demonstrate their impressive problem‑solving skills, collaborative thinking, and determination. They will flex their enthusiasm for tackling complex challenges and no-doubt their curiosity will be ignited.
This week, we are also celebrating our students’ achievements in the first ever Inter‑Hong Kong Creative Writing Competition, which has been developed and organised by our Primary Writing Lead, Ms. Hetherington. This event highlights the importance of expressive and imaginative writing as a powerful tool for communication for our young minds. Through storytelling, poetry, and creative expression we know that children learn to explore ideas, connect with others, and develop confidence in their voice.
Tomorrow, we welcome three schools to our campus as we advocate for children to explore their talents in writing and creativity. At our school, we deeply value and actively promote opportunities like these. Competitions and enrichment events allow students to apply their learning, showcase their talents, and discover new passions beyond the classroom. They help build confidence, curiosity, and a love of learning across subjects.
Thank you for your continued support as we celebrate our students’ achievements and encourage them to thrive in all areas of their education.
Please see below dates that may be of interest in the coming months, may be subject to changes.
Take care,
Stephen Sharma
