Dear Parents,
My congratulations to our NAIS Hong Kong Model United Nations team. Our students led brilliantly, with the entire preparation being co-ordinated by our NAIS Hong Kong MUN leaders, resulting in a hugely successful conference this past weekend.
This morning, we held our Mid-Autumn Festival assembly, where a wonderful array of acts and talents were showcased on stage to celebrate this meaningful festival.
Wishing you all a joyful holiday with your family and friends tomorrow. Please don’t forget to wear your house T-shirts on Friday—we are excited and looking forward to the friendly house battle!
House Updates – Mrs. Procter
This week sparked the launch of ‘Kwun Tong House Spirit 2025-26’. Students have been and will continue next week, to attend assemblies in their year group focusing on what it means to be part of a House at NAIS HK.
Supporting your House:
We are delighted to host our first ‘House Friday’. On Friday 10th October students and staff will come to school wearing their House T-shirt and participate in a range of competitions and events during the Friday lunch break. These events are designed to be inclusive, spirited, and a fantastic way for students to earn points for their House whilst socialising with peers across all year groups, bringing a sense of belonging.
Contributing to your House:
It is important that students are individually recognised for how they go above and beyond in their day-to-day behaviours. Please see below examples of how students might be awarded House points based on our school values.
Leading your House:
As part of student voice in Kwun Tong, all students across all years have the opportunity to apply to be a House Representative. House Representatives serve as a driving force of impact within the NAIS HK Secondary school, dedicated to fostering an inclusive school culture, based on purpose and belonging. House Representative positions are open to students in all year groups, primarily to inspire and drive House spirit alongside the House Champions. Potential House Representative members are encouraged to consider examples of how the House system could be improved and how this could be actioned in their applications.
Students should follow this link to submit their application.
MUN – Arianna M
Nearly 8 months after preparation began, NAISMUN V has finally come to a close. Spanning from October 4th to 5th last weekend, NAISMUN V was a student-led initiative directed by the Secretary-General, Arianna M, in Year 13. Alongside Arianna, we had Adidev R in Year 12 (Deputy Secretary-General), Sahana V in Year 12 (Head of Logistics), Eli Z in Year 13 (Head of Finance), Arianna V in Year 12 (Head of Media & Design), and Jac H in Year 12 (Head of Marketing).
With more than 300 attendees from over 15 different schools, the heated debate in the League of Nations regarding the Second Sino-Japanese War, as well as addressing populist influence in the European Union, the Secretariat is proud to say that the conference was a huge success!
Congratulations to the Secretariat, the admins, and all others involved for your hard work.

Meet Our New Staff
Rosee Myers – MFL
Bonjour! ¡Hola! I am excited to join Nord Anglia International School as one of the three new Modern Foreign Languages (MFL) teachers. With extensive experience teaching Spanish and French across various educational frameworks and continents, I have a strong commitment to creating a culturally rich and engaging learning environment. I am excited to inspire our students to explore the richness of different cultures while developing their language skills.
My passion for education also extends to promoting equity, diversity, inclusion, and belonging (EDIB) within the classroom and beyond. I believe in celebrating all students' unique backgrounds and perspectives, ensuring that every child feels valued and empowered in their learning journey. I look forward to collaborating with you and your children to inspire a love of languages and cultures.
Tim Grant – English
I have arrived recently in Hong Kong (joined by Rosie and my youngest of three sons – Rory) having spent 27 years teaching in the UK; I have spent most of my teaching career in the independent sector, most recently as English teacher and Head of Sixth Form at Lancing College but prior to that at Wellington College and Berkhamsted School (where I spent 18 years in a variety of roles both academic and pastoral). I am originally from Co. Down in Northern Ireland but studied my degree at the University of St Andrews.
James Marshall – Science
I studied Chemistry in Scotland and Germany before going to Sweden to study Astrophysics. During my time in Sweden, I took a year to train as a teacher in England before returning to Sweden to teach Science & Maths for two years in a local school. I then took a year to study for my Swedish language certificates and take the local teaching license. Following this, I moved to Hong Kong, where I have worked in a Kindergarten and another International School for a year each before joining Nord Anglia this year.
Sports Updates – Ms. Wiltshire
U14 Boys Football
They say it’s fun to play at the YMCA - the U14 boys travelled in good spirits to play a double-header against both the A and B teams of the host school owing to a postponement resulting from Typhoon Ragasa. A very competitive performance in the first game saw the score end 1-1 following an equaliser scored by Aiden F who crashed one in off the bar, but a scoreline which didn’t really reflect the dominance of our Knights in the second half. The game was nearly won by Nick K-E when his shot late on hit the bar. Then YMCA A team decided to turn up for their game. A small squad owing to players being unavailable for the trip out to Tung Chung and fatigue from the first game meant the team faced a challenge. A change in formation to try and plug gaps that were likely to appear owing to tired legs did little to stem the flow of pressure given by the hosts. Oscar in goal worked wonders to repel as many shots as possible and some fine strikes by YMCA saw them run out convincing winners. Thank you to the players that played and never gave up on a tiring afternoon and gave everything they could. They all did it for the shirt - not the name on the back!
U14 Girls Volleyball
On Tuesday 30th September the U14 Girls travelled to RCHK to play against DC and HKIS in the ISSFHK Volleyball League. First up was DC Cobra’s. The girls put in a valiant performance, but DC were too strong and well drilled. Going into the second match against HKIS, we started with a different formation after our inter-match team talk. This worked better and with some increased communication between players we won the first set. However, going into the second set, the girl's concentration and confidence wavered and HKIS took advantage and just beat us to the second set, meaning we had to play the third. The girls put their utmost effort in with, Eden tracking the ball and diving for the digs and captain Elysha’s strong long serves. Unfortunately for the team, HKIS were just the stronger on the day. Well done Knights for the effort and resilience shown throughout both matches.
U16 Boys Volleyball
Old Malvernians and the DC Cobras were put to the sword but the NAIS HK Knights. A small but upbeat squad of U16 boys head to CAIS in search of some much-needed competition after the cancellation of two matches due to Typhoon Ragasa. The opening match vs Malvern was a close affair, but the Knights managed to serve consistently and minimise their unforced errors taking the 1st set 25-21. The 2nd set continued in a similar manner and Jaxton's fine setting allowed Tony and Aiden A to play some fine winning shots up at the net. The 2nd set was taken 25-19 and the first match and 3 points were in the bag. Next up were the mighty Cobras of DC College whose team chants looked to blow the Knights away. Never one to be intimidated, the Knights continued to serve and spike well taking the 1st set 25-22. A tight 2nd set was tied at 14-14 when the Knights abandoned Coach Melody's tactics and suddenly found themselves 21-14 down. That proved too big a deficit, and the Cobras took the 2nd set 25-19. Coach Melody read the riot act and with the boys refocused took the final set 15-6, some fine play from Zachary finally silencing the cries of "DC" "Cobras". Two fine performances and two fine results as the Knights set themselves up for the remaining ties after half term.
