Dear Parents,
Character and values.
At NAIS Hong Kong we are committed to helping every child grow not only academically but also as kind, responsible, and resilient individuals. Our Global Citizenship curriculum alongside our Primary Values builds this into the daily cognitive diet of our children and school community, encouraging values such as respect, open-mindedness, courage, integrity, kindness and ambition.
Through lessons, discussions, assemblies and real-life examples, we aim to nurture pupils who make positive choices and show empathy towards others. It would be interesting to ask your children what our Primary Values are and what they do in school and outside, that embodies them.
Last week, our House assemblies celebrated our NAIS Hong Kong values with all children in school. The bringing together of our Houses is always marked with a sense of pride and passion for each House – something I know all parents will recognise when we reveal house points in assembly each week.
Your support at home to reinforce our shared values is invaluable, whether these values are part of everyday conversations or celebrating moments when your child demonstrates any of our core values. By working together, we can help them develop the strong moral foundation they need to thrive in school and beyond.
