Dear Parents,
Team Tanzania have landed safely, and the updates have been truly amazing! From building goat sheds to going on safari, our students have been working exceptionally hard, proudly leading the Nord Anglia schools who have also arrived — including International College Spain (ICS) from Madrid, Nord Anglia International School Al Khor, and Eaton School from Mexico City.
It’s inspiring to see the power of Nord Anglia Education global connection, as our students collaborate with peers from around the world, sharing ideas, kindness, and purpose. They are truly building a legacy through service and teamwork.
Meanwhile, our swimmers are making a splash at the FOBISIA Secondary Swimming Championships in Phuket. They are doing brilliantly, enjoying great camaraderie, and we’re delighted to share that some medals are already making their way home to Hong Kong. We are incredibly proud of their achievements and team spirit.
Back on campus, the school corridors are alive with the wonderful sounds of Oliver! rehearsals. A huge well done to our dedicated cast and staff who have been practicing tirelessly over the weekend and throughout the week. Tickets go on sale today, please purchase early to avoid disappointment, you are in for a real treat!
Wishing everyone a great week ahead.

School Production - Oliver!
NAIS HK students present Oliver! The Musical by Lionel Bart’s! Set in the gritty streets of Victorian England, it follows young orphan Oliver Twist, who dares to ask for "more" gruel in the harsh workhouse. Sold as an apprentice to an undertaker and mistreated, he runs away to London, where he's befriended by the rebellious Artful Dodger and welcomed into Fagin's den of youthful pickpockets.
Caught between a life of crime, the brutal Bill Sikes, the loyal yet tragic Nancy, and the kindness of the gentleman Mr. Brownlow, Oliver searches for belonging, family, and love—leading to dramatic twists, heartfelt moments, and an unforgettable score full of timeless songs like “Food Glorious Food "Where Is Love?" and "I'd Do Anything."
A heartwarming yet thrilling tale of resilience and redemption!

AYP Adventure Reflection – Claire Berry

The Bronze AYP practice expedition commenced on a Saturday morning with a challenging ascent to the summit of Keung Shan, followed by a ridge walk offering panoramic views across South Lantau. Despite the hot conditions, all groups demonstrated resilience and determination, successfully reaching the campsite at Kau Ling Chung in time to enjoy a stunning sunset. Participants carried their own provisions and prepared dinner independently, showcasing their developing campcraft skills.
On the second day, the teams undertook a more moderate coastal route to Tai O. Throughout the expedition, students gained valuable experience in navigation and outdoor living, building confidence and teamwork in preparation for their upcoming assessment. We extend our sincere thanks to the teachers who guided the groups and to the parents whose support made this experience possible. Congratulations to all participants on a commendable effort.
House Updates
Wow, what a thrilling volleyball competition we had over last Friday lunchtime! House Points were available for participation, points scored in matches, and winning games.
There was an incredible turn out for KS3, with many tight games and House cheering. Balmoral and Caernarfon had full participation, however, it was Caernarfon and Sandringham that were gunning for the top spot. Considering all House Points awarded, Sandringham claimed 1st place by just 2 points! KS4/5 lunchtime saw some dedicated members participate in our House Volleyball tournament. Again, we saw a tight contest between Caernarfon and Sandringham, with Sandringham claiming 1st place by only one point!
Big shoutout to Ms. Blest and Mr. Goodson for taking part!
Overall scores:
4th: Windsor
3rd: Balmoral
2nd: Caernarfon
1st” Sandringham
Thank you everyone for your participation and enthusiasm!

Sports Update
U12 Boys Basketball
The U12 Boys faced ISF in their play-off semi-final on Tuesday 20th January. Aiming to continue their unbeaten run and secure a place in the final, the team got off to a fast start scoring points quickly. The pace of the game was high throughout, and the scorer's table was kept busy. Strong offence and hard work in the defense saw the team qualify for the final which will be held on Wednesday 28th December at CAIS.

U16 Boys Football
Knights Bow Out
U16 Boys semifinal vs IS
2-2 lost 4-5 on penalties
This game offered a chance for quick revenge on last week's 4-1 loss. The Knights came flying out of the blocks with a high press that surprised IS. The game was a tense affair and IS took the lead on the counterattack. The Knights, undeterred, hit back and Nick set up Cason to level the game. Half time and 1-1. The 2nd half continued in a similar manner until the 40th minute when Lucas set up Josiah to take the lead 2-1. The Knights then looked to wrap the game up, but the IS goalkeeper clawed a shot onto the post and out. Then disaster and a lack of concentration. IS equalised and the game was 2-2 and heading to penalties. Sadly, it was not to be, despite the small goal size every penalty bar one was converted and IS marched onto the final. A sad result but a phenomenal advert for football. The Knights upheld their values and worked hard from start to finish. Next week the 3rd/4th play off beckons.
