Dear Parents,
This week marks our
final week before we break for our Easter holidays—and what a wonderful week it is shaping up to be as we launch into our much-anticipated
Enrichment Week! Throughout the week, the children will be immersed in a range of rich and engaging experiences designed to
spark their curiosity, nurture creativity, and encourage collaboration. These special learning moments allow children to explore ideas in new ways and make meaningful connections beyond their everyday classroom routines.
We began the week in truly magical fashion. Today, the children were delighted by a
live theatre performance of the classic fable The Tortoise and the Hare, presented by the
Dovetails Theatre Company. What a show it was! The children were completely captivated by the characters, the storytelling, and the way the theatre performance brought the story to life right in our own assembly area. It was a joy to see their engaged expressions, laughter, and animated discussions afterwards as they reflected on the story’s message.

In the afternoon, creativity took centre stage as the children worked with
Mrs. Grevis-James, our Head of Art from the Primary Campus, to create a
giant, collaborative SPACE-themed artwork. In preparation for tomorrow’s exciting experience ‘Discovery Dome’, the children explored the theme of space by designing and creating their own planets. Using a wide range of media and materials, they experimented with
colour, texture, tone, and pattern, proudly contributing their individual creations to one large, shared artwork. The collaboration, focus, and enthusiasm shown by the children were truly wonderful to see.

Tomorrow, our journey into space continues as all classes will visit the
Discovery Dome, where they will delve deeper into the wonders of
Space and the Universe. This immersive experience promises to ignite imaginations and inspire awe as the children explore the cosmic world beyond our planet.
We would also like to extend a
heartfelt thank you to all parents for attending our Parent–Teacher Conferences last week. These meetings are such an important opportunity for parents and teachers to come together to
celebrate each child’s achievements, discuss next steps, and share how we can continue to work in partnership to support each child’s learning and development. We truly value these conversations and your ongoing engagement with the school.
Finally, a
very big thank you to our PTA for hosting such a thoughtful and generous
Staff and Class Coordinators Appreciation Event last Friday after school. It was an amazing occasion, and we are all incredibly grateful for the time, effort, and kind words shared. A special thank you goes to
Stacey (Amelia’s mum) and
Stephanie (Tillie’s mum), our PTA representatives, who coordinated and organised the entire event. Thank you—
we all had an amazing time and felt truly special and very appreciated.

As we head towards the Easter break, thank you once again for your continued support. We look forward to a week full of memorable experiences and joyful learning and we hope to see many of you at our
Picnic in Playground on Friday morning.
Yours sincerely,
Ruth Hanson
