Dear Parents,
What an amazing day we had last Friday, 5th June, as the children travelled ‘around the world’ to celebrate International Day.

We started the day with our colourful and vibrant International Day Parade, and it was wonderful to see so many parents, family members and helpers there to cheer the children on. Thank you for taking the time to join us and help make the start of the day so memorable for them.
As the day continued, the children visited a range of country rooms and took part in fun, hands-on activities that helped bring each country and culture to life. They listened to stories and explored traditions in Hong Kong, made their own Japanese spinning tops, painted Venetian masks and tackled a Pisa tower building challenge in Italy, created jumping kangaroos in Australia, made traditional Chinese sweets and origami in the China room, and learnt all about the ‘Big Five’ animals found on safari in South Africa. What an amazing whistle-stop tour of the world for our children.
One of the most popular stops of the day was, of course, the Food Hall. We were so impressed by how willing the children were to try foods they had never tasted before. It was lovely to see them approach new flavours with such curiosity and confidence.
A huge thank you to all the parents who hosted a country room or supported the Food Hall. Your involvement helped create such a special day for the children. It means a great deal when they can learn about a country through the experiences, traditions and stories shared by parents and classmates. We would also like to thank everyone who donated food for the International Food Hall — it was all very much appreciated and thoroughly enjoyed.
Days like these are such an important part of learning in the early years. When children can explore different cultures through stories, food, crafts, music and movement, their learning becomes real, memorable and meaningful. It helps them build understanding, curiosity and respect for the world around them, while also celebrating the diversity of our own school community.
It was a vibrant and very special day, and we are very grateful to everyone who helped make it such a success. A special thank you to Ms. Lewsey for organising the whole day – it was truly special!
Class Allocations and Transition
Class allocations were sent out today for children who will be continuing at our Sai Kung campus for the next academic year 2026-27. For children moving to our Primary Campus, class information will be shared by our Primary colleagues before the end of the school year to support a smooth and positive transition.
Transition activities are going well. Today, the Head of Year 1 from our Primary Campus visited our Reception classes to meet the children who will be moving on to Primary. Tomorrow, those children will travel to Lam Tin to explore the campus and on Friday our current Year 1 students, moving to Year 2, will also visit the Primary campus. These experiences are an important part of helping children feel confident and settled as they prepare for the next stage of school.
