Rugby and Volleyball

We are soon having our first competitive game in tag rugby as our U13 and U15 teams enjoy a friendly against KIS on Thursday 16th February. This is hugely exciting and marks another development in sport at STA. We wish them well and look forward to hearing about their experience.

If you’d like more information about Tag Rugby, please contact Mr. Pat. He runs training with Mr. Jarrod on Thursdays.

Our Y12 Girls volleyball team have begun serious training with Mr. Bevin. Their first game as a squad is on Tuesday 14th February against Wells. As part of their development, we have also arranged a training game against a team of KS3 girls who have been learning volleyball in their PE lessons this term. This will take place on Tuesday 7th February at 3.00pm. More details will follow soon.

Primary TISAC Athletics Championship

For the second year running our U9 and U11 athletes won the Primary TISAC Athletics Championship. There were some outstanding performances by our children and real team effort to win for both age groups. Thank you for the hard work of the children and the support of the parents who came to cheer on the teams. A special mention for Aya for her efforts for the U9 team.

TISAC Football

The U13 boys got off to a mixed start with their league fixtures but I am sure they will bounce back in their TISAC Tournament on the 4th February.

The U13s go from strength to strength with convincing wins against Bangkok PREP, Concordian and St Andrews 107. The girls scored 23 goals in the three games and played some outstanding football. They have their TISAC Tournament against all the TISAC teams on the 4th February and go there as strong favourites.
