They have been working hard creating images that could largely be described as self-portraits, although even at the early stages the work seems to be much more than paintings of themselves. They have included symbolism, references to personal interests and emotions. Within the IB programme students learn how visual elements, such as colour, texture and contrast, influence the way that the emotional content or meaning of an artwork is perceived.
