Primary School International Day

On Friday 10th November, our Primary School International Day will take place. The school has been all abuzz with preparations going on in earnest in every nook and corner of the campus. One of the special parts of this event that I am really looking forward to is the International Day Assembly which will be starting at 8.30am in the Sports Hall. Some great activities will be happening both inside and outside of the classrooms with children enthralled with the opportunity to learn about cultures from around the world. At lunchtime the PTG have recruited parent-country representatives to fill the International Food Hall with a wide array of mouth-watering delicacies and eye-opening flavors representing the national heritage of a great many of our students. I sincerely hope you make every effort to participate in and enjoy this important event in our academic calendar.

STA Swim Championships 2017

Our High School was bursting with excitement on Saturday from the huge amount of energy coming from everyone who attended the first Marlins Swimming event of the year - The STA Swim Championships. This competition was held exclusively for our our squads as a major preparation for this year’s upcoming inter-school meets. It was truly impressive to witness over 200 of our own swimmers in attendance. Thank you to Khun X and the PTG for working closely with our Estates team to really create an impressive swimming festival that everyone enjoyed.

U15 FOBISIA Games in Phuket

This week our U15 FOBISIA Squad will attend the U15 FOBISIA Games in Phuket at Thanyapura Sports complex. I know our sports squad has been training hard over the first half of this term and are really looking forward to the fierce completion they will experience at this great event. I wish them every success in the Games and know they will represent our school as great ambassadors for school community and ethos, really enjoying this event and making lots of new friends while they are at the Games.

Nord Anglia Education U11 Games

It’s only 4 weeks away until St Andrews hosts the annual Nord Anglia Education U11 South East Asia Games. The Primary PE team are busy organising this exciting tournament for our U11 children.

The NAE Games will  begin on Friday 1st December, with completing teams staying at the Double Tree by Hilton. That evening, the children will have a welcome dinner before the events start on Saturday 2nd and continues until Sunday 3rd December , with a concluding  Gala dinner that evening. The two-day tournament involves basketball and teeball. The basketball venue will be over at our High School in the new Sports Hall, while the tee-ball will be held at Ramkhamhaeng University.

There are four other Nord Anglia schools coming to Bangkok to take part in the NAE Games: Regents Pattaya, British International School, Ho Chi Minh City, British Vietnamese International School, Hanoi and Northbridge International School, Cambodia.

The PE teams are very much looking forward to the NAE Games and extending our welcome to our neighbouring sister schools.
