High School: 13 February 2017

13 February 2017

After a great Halloween/Valentine’s Disco on Friday evening, organised by Year 12 students to fund their CAS (Creativity, Activity and Service) Service projects, we move into the last week before half-term, with Year 11 and 13 Parent/Student/Teacher Meetings and the first of the three trips taking place over half-term leaving on Friday.

It is great that the High School students have the opportunity to go to Austria to ski, to Koh Chang to dive and to Tanzania on the Nord Anglia Global Campus Expedition, with the school having a Tanzanian Colours Non-Uniform Day on Thursday this week to raise funds for their Service Projects.

Students should wear clothes in the colours of the Tanzanian flag (bright green, black, light blue and yellow) and bring a donation of 50 baht which will fund the building of goat sheds, smokeless stoves, teacher accommodation and desks and chairs for the classrooms of a local school.

I am sure that all of these students will have a fantastic half-term, and hope that all the other High School students, and their families, have a very relaxing and enjoyable week.
