Saturday Basketball

After having over 30 students per day join our Songkran basketball Camp, we look forward to another busy term of Saturday basketball, with over 100 students now attending.

We have two club inclusive sessions at 9.00am, open to KS2 and KS3, where players can develop their skill set and knowledge of game play. This is followed by training sessions for our Primary Flames and High School Flames squads.

As part of the development of our programme, we’re arranging games for our Flames Academy ballers against other academies. This starts on Saturday 29th April with a U11B game against For-The-Love and is followed in early June with a tournament run by the Youth Basketball Thailand organisation.

We’re keen to see as many of our regular Flames squad members join the Academy as possible, so that we can continue to build on the amazing progress of our teams this year.

Sign-up is on Moodle, as usual.

Events in Term 3

We have the following events amongst our schedule for Term 3:

  • ISE Junior Varsity tournament, Chonburi, 28-29 April;

Primary FOBISIA Games Training

Starting this week, our Primary FOBISIA Team will now all train together on Wednesdays and Fridays.

On Wednesday we will all go over to Arsenal (Sio 21) to use their grass pitch for Teeball. We will be there on the 26th April, 3rd May and the 17th May. Children will be transported over to Arsenal and returned back to STA at 4.30pm.

On Friday all children will work on their athletic events for the remaining 3 weeks.

The team is looking very strong and now must continue to work hard leading up to the Games.

Football and Basketball Squad Training

From this week, all of our High School squad players will be able to move up into their next age group. This is in preparation for next year and for the coaches to get to know and work with the players.

Mondays: SNR Basketball (Y10-12)

Tuesdays: SNR Boys Football (Y10-12)

Wednesday: SNR Girls (Y10-12), U15 Girls (Y8-9) and Boys Football/U13 Girls and Boys Basketball (Y7)

Thursday: U13 Girls and Boys (Y7)/U15 Boys and Girls Basketball (Y8-9)

If your child is already committed to another activity on their new day, they may continue to attend on the same day as in Term 2.

The Primary Football Teams will not change until after FOBISIA.  Year 6 children are welcome to join the U13 football teams on Thursdays but at this time it is not compulsory.
