Songkran @ St Andrews
This Wednesday is our Songkran celebration in school. The morning will begin with alms giving to the visiting monks, during which attending students will be blessed with water. The tables for the alms giving will be clearly labelled and students can leave their offerings on these before school. Students who are not participating will remain in their year group base until it is time for their assembly. The assembly for KS2 students will begin at approximately 9.10 am. Parents are welcome to attend the assembly and celebrate the Thai New Year with us in school. In the afternoon, at 1.35 pm, the children will be taking part in water play on the field.
*All children need to bring a change of clothes and a towel.
**School will provide cups for water play. Items from home are not allowed.
Please note that Wednesday 5th April is the last Day of term. We will re-open for term 3 on Monday 24th April.
Year 6 Superhero Day
Last Friday we were visited by the alter-egos of the Year 6 students and teachers, who all arrived for the day in their full superhero attire. The teachers had a fun day planned for the students with a Superhero Parade to start things off followed by some construction as the students worked in team to create a cityscape for their superheroes to protect.
Please take a look at the photo slideshow to see some fun moments of the day, as well as students reflections on the experience.
KS2 Parent Consultations
Tomorrow (Tuesday, April 4) is the last of our parent consultation afternoons, but it’s not too late to still request an appointment if you haven’t done so already. It’s always good to hear the parents’ point of view about the consultation process, so if you have any feedback on any aspect of the term 2 consultations, please email it to: email@example.com
