“Beginnings” GCSE exhibition
The Year 1 GCSE Art exhibition ended on Friday having welcomed many guests, both young and old. This was the first time we held an exhibition for this course and our most important visitor was the senior examiner and moderator for Edexcel in the U.K. He was highly impressed with the work, pointing out its wide variety of creative styles.
If you missed the Year 11 exhibition, then you still have the chance to see selected GCSE art, alongside stunning creative work from High School students from Year 7 to Year 12 in the Performing and Visual Arts Faculty show EXPO ’17, on Wednesday June 21st from 3.00-6.00p.m.
In other art department news, we are delighted to announce our first international art trip, leaving for Paris on Monday 12th June for one week. This will be a very exciting experience for the 21 students attending. They will be visiting, amongst other places, the Louvre, the Pompidou Centre and the battlefields of the Somme.
