Sustainability Fashion Show

On Friday last week we had the opportunity to see the winners of the Sustainability Fashion Show Design Competition take to the catwalk to show off their creations. With children from across the school taking part, and their friends cheering them on, it was a lovely atmosphere.  It was a hard task for the judges to choose overall winners for the categories, but for her poise and confidence, Pailin from Nursery Bunnies came away with the accolade for FS/KS1.  Well done to all of the finalists (all of whom win a generous amount of House Points!) for putting on such a great show.

GCSE Art Exhibition

Last week Miss Emma, Khun Sammy and the Reception Tigers went off to explore the school, specifically the Art Exhibition that had been put together by some of the older students.  Mr Tim was able to meet them there and talk to them about some of the pieces. Everyone was interested to find out more and had particular favourites.

Achievements outside of school

We are always keen to share the achievements of children outside of school, and if something special happens and you let us know, we might be able to feature it in one of our newsletters.

Recently Neungdeaw in Y2S has been participating in Ice Hockey Tournaments with his team, one of them in Hong Kong, that have resulted in his being chosen as Best Player and the team receiving second place.

Back With the Birds!

Discover the wildlife of Bangkok's parks.

The second STA Community Birdwalk will take place on Sunday the 25th of June. Starting at approximately 7.30 am and continuing until  around 10.30, we will join wildlife experts from the Bird Conservation Society of Thailand who will introduce you and your children to the surprising variety of birds (and other creatures) found in Suan Luang Rama 9 Park. Binoculars and a telescope will be provided. This fun family morning out is most appropriate for key stages one and two.  The fee for the Birdwalk will be 300 or 350 Baht (yet to be finalised).

If you are interested in signing up or want to know more - please contact Mr. Ewen (ewen.mc@standrews.ac.th) or Ms Kiyomi (kiyomi.mo@standrews.ac.th
