Head’s Lines: Being number one in maths is never odd

Maths Day last Friday at St Andrews International School Bangkok added up to one fun-filled day... Please take the time to complete the NAE Parent Survey which will be sent out this week

Last Friday was Maths Day at Primary, and it was great to see so many children dressed in t-shirts they had decorated with all sorts of maths problems, timetables, shapes and the like.  There was an incalculable number of great activities all across the Primary School which really brought Maths to life and added up to a thoroughly enjoyable day for one and all

NAE Parent Survey

This week every family in our school community will be sent the link to the Nord Anglia Education Parent Survey.  This will allow you the opportunity to provide direct anonymous feedback about our school to the NAE Central Team. The survey will be open from this week on through to the middle of January. I sincerely hope everyone will set aside at least 10 to 15 minutes to provide feedback and comments about various areas of operation of our school.

Last year our survey response rate was less than 38%. If more parents can complete the survey, a fair and more accurate picture of the areas we need to concentrate on will emerge from the results. Each survey opened will need to be fully completed for it to be counted in the final results. Unfortunately, you need to complete it in one sitting. At the start of the survey, you will be asked about the language you would like to complete the survey in, which will also allow you to also make your comments in your chosen language. The survey is designed so that both parents can complete it individually.

Your participation in this survey will assist us in creating focused action plans for developing those areas of our school which you would like us to improve.

Upcoming Holidays

During the last two weeks of this term, St Andrews will be closed for national holidays on Thursday 5th December for National Fathers Day, and on Tuesday 10th December for Constitution Day. Our last day of term will be Friday 13th December where we will have school assemblies in the morning to celebrate all that has been achieved this term. The school day will end early at 1.00 pm on this day as we close for the three-week Christmas and New Year's holidays.
