Key Stage 2: Saying goodbye to another school year

The end of the school year at St Andrews International School Bangkok is this Wednesday, 26th June at 1:00 pm...The Year 6 Leavers Assembly was a moving celebration of our students’ Primary School journey… Get a rundown of the end of year House Music Competitions.

End of the School Year

We have finally reached the last few days of term, completing another year at St Andrews. We hope the children, and you, have enjoyed another successful school year and are ready for the long vacation. To those of you who are moving on, we wish you good luck wherever you are going and we hope that you will be able to come back and say hello at some point. To those of you returning for another year, we wish you a safe and happy holiday and we’ll see you in August. On behalf of all KS2 staff, I would like to say a huge thank you for your continued support throughout the year.

Last Day of Term

The school year ends this Wednesday, 26 June. School will officially close at 1.00 pm once all Primary children have had their lunch and playtime.

If you prefer, you can pick up the children from the beginning of lunchtime - 12.20 pm. If you are picking your child up early, please let a member of staff know. The school buses will be ready to leave from 12.45 pm and the shuttle buses will be running to Gateway Ekamai, Max Valu 71 and the High School Campus until 1 pm.

Year 6 Leavers Assembly

Last Friday was Year 6’s time in the limelight to celebrate the end of their journey through the Primary School. This was a fantastic celebration of their time so far at St Andrews. The students took us through each year, with children who began in that year sharing their memories. Sketches, songs and videos entertained the parents and other children and by the end, there was more than one parent reaching for the tissues. What was lovely was the fact that so many of the teachers who were part of the Year 6’s journey were in the room with them.

House Music Competitions

Today we were all entertained by the finalists in this year’s House Music Competition.  KS2 children performed across two events- one this morning and one this afternoon. As a judge, I was so impressed by the level of talent on show from across the Primary ages. This was an opportunity for the children to perform in front of a large audience and hopefully, they will have inspired some of their friends to step up next year and audition. Alongside the winners of the four categories across both age groups, the music department also celebrated the hard work put into music lessons across the year by awarding children with music certificates. Well done everyone.
