In this, the last newsletter of the term, we would like to wish you a happy and healthy holiday. We have had to change the way in which we do some things this term, but hopefully it has given the children the same exciting mix of learning and fun.
We look forward to some exciting events next term such as Chinese New Year, Book Week, and Maths Week, culminating with our Songkran celebrations.
The term begins with our Parent/Teacher meetings for KS1 and KS2, to set targets for the coming term. Details of these will come from your class teachers in due course.
Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year from all the staff in Foundation Stage and KS1. We look forward to welcoming the children back in January.
Happy New Year!
The Christmas Fair - Wednesday 16th December from 2.30pm
Families who are new to STA this year might not know what a fantastic event the Christmas Fair has developed into over recent years.
Initially it was developed as a chance for Year 6 to take part in an Enterprise Project whilst earning some money for charity, but now it is a celebration of all things Christmas! Year 6 will be there organising games and activities for the younger students to enjoy, whilst the PTG have invited in a number of food and gift vendors to keep the adults entertained. As it is generally a very popular event, we advise using public transport or parking at Suk 71 or Max Value. Additional shuttle vans will be in operation to return people to Max Value and Gateway after the Fair.
This Year’s Christmas Collections
Deadline Wednesday 16th December
As is traditional at this time of year, our thoughts turn to people in our local community that are less fortunate than ourselves. This year more than any other there is a huge need for your generosity.
The donations are already coming in for our Christmas Charity Appeals.
Reminders of ways you can contribute are below...
The Thai Department is organizing a donation opportunity for STA families to give to the less fortunate children in the north and northeast of Thailand.
These children are in need of some love and warmth. Unfortunately, they are not able to afford these necessities so we hope we are able to help them out.
If your child has any pre-loved soft toys that they no longer use, we would love to receive them to be given to these children. We ask for you to please donate toys that have been washed and cleaned.
When? - We’re accepting the soft toys from November 23rd – December 18th.
Where? - The donation box will be provided at the S block on the 2nd floor in the shared area in front of Khroo Yui’s classroom (S22).
