High School PE: Running from Bangkok to Phuket in the Global Campus 2km Race!

STA High School students joined Nord Anglia schools from all around the world in the Global Campus 2km race challenge. STA students completed this global event challenge virtually using various forms of technology and recorded their results, photos and experiences on Global Campus.

How did we run from Bangkok to Phuket?

We completed this challenge on Global Campus, an online platform available to all St Andrews and Nord Anglia students. Global Campus is a great tool that sets challenges like this one for students to engage in alongside their academics to develop teamwork, problem-solving and creative thinking skills. Global Campus stays on top of the latest trends and us regularly updated for greater engagement.

St Andrews students shared their experiences across the student platform by:

  • Posting pictures after their runs,
  • Describing briefly their experience.
  • Liking each others posts,
  • Measuring their cadence, step count, and distance that contributed to the NAE communal record of 1200km.

It was great to see everyone sharing their experiences of their run and was really lovely to see students setting themselves a target and achieving their goals individually and as a group as a class. It's been a great tool to motivate students across the Year Groups to stay active during the Virtual School Experience.
