A teddy bear picnic in Chaoyang Park!

We had a fantastic time in Nursery with incredibly warm late October sunshine as we visited the park to have a teddy bear picnic.

Firstly, there was time for some teddy bear games and songs that we have been learning. We sang teddy bear, teddy bear turn around. The bear went over the mountain when Goldilocks went to the house of the bears. We also played a game of ‘Isn’t it funny how a bear likes honey?’ In this the game the ‘bear’ goes to sleep in the middle and then when they wake up they have to guess who has hidden the honey!

All four Nursery classes got together to throw teddy bears up and down onto the parachute!

Finally it was the moment everybody had been waiting for – to share our picnic food! Everybody brought a mixture of sweet and savoury treats. As if we had not all had enough excitement, Winnie the Pooh then came and visited us! There were lots of happy smiles and hugs!

We hope all the children have happy memories of their visit to Chaoyang Park.
