The children in Year 2 had a fantastic time at their sleepover on Friday 8th June.
All children arrived with their parents and a lot of luggage and were very excited to get cosy on the squishy PE mats that had been laid out for them in their classrooms. After everyone was settled and had made their beds, Year 2 had a sumptuous Sleepover Feast before heading out to the playground to play some games.
It was great having the playground to ourselves! Then the children changed into their pyjamas, brushed their teeth and settled to watch a movie. As it began to get dark we headed to our classroom bedrooms and settled down to sleep.
The morning came quickly and the children were pleased and sad to see their parents on Saturday morning. I think some would have liked to stay all day!
The Year 2 Staff were super impressed by how well behaved the children were. No homesick tears and happy morning faces. These children are definitely ready for Year 3!
