Last Thursday, 9th March, the Year 3 children visited Chef Parade as part of their topic on Chocolate. The children made chocolate coconut balls, chocolate bonbons and chocolate lollipops. It was a wonderfully messy experience with chocolate ending up everywhere! At the end of the day, the children got to take home all their yummy treats to share.

This Tuesday, 14th March, as a finale to their chocolate topic, Year 3 performed their Chocolate Assembly in the auditorium for parents.

The assembly was just a taste of what they have covered while finding out about chocolate. It included parts about Fair Trade, a costume drama about the history of chocolate, a 'whodunit' mystery about who stole the chocolate cake and a condensed version of Charlie and the Chocolate Factory.

The assembly was a really enjoyable and cooperative team event and a fitting end to our topic!
