This was the action packed production, ‘Ali Baba and the Bongo Bandits’ performed by Year 6 students on Thursday 21st and Friday 22nd June.

The play was a huge success. The stage was lit up with the singing, dancing and acting skills displayed by the students. Everyone had a part to play and together the children worked hard to learn their lines, their entries and the dance moves. Everyone had a lot of fun and they really enjoyed themselves. Even after the performance had finished students were singing the songs in the changing rooms as they were getting ready to go home!

Laura, who played the role of Alakazoo, said “I was really happy with the part I played. We were the first Year 6 class to do our play in the theatre so we were lucky.”

Alvita, who played the role of Princess Satsuma, said “I was very happy and enjoyed my role. I was nervous at first as I wasn’t sure that I wanted a big part but as the days went on I became more and more confident. I loved it!”

Congratulations to everyone who took part and contributed to making this a great show. A big thanks to DCA who came in to choreograph some of the dances and also for providing the fantastic costumes. Well done to the students they leave Year 6 on a high note. Good luck as they move into Year 7 at BISB or at other schools.
