Our peripatetic music lesson programme is very popular with our students; over 250 lessons are provided each week. We currently have nine musicians who teach private lessons at the school throughtout the year. All are highly experienced and have an excellent command of the English language. Students have the opportunity to participate in recitals and also may enter for examinations with the Associated Board of the Royal College of Music or Rock School which are held in Budapest every June. We encourage students in the peripatetic music programme to participate in the extracurricular ensembles. Students also utilize their performance skills in the curricular music class activities.
Please refer to the table below for a list of our teachers and the instruments we currently offer.

Scheduling and Costs
Each lesson lasts 30 minutes and costs 3500 HUF. The teacher will send you an invoice for each term. Payment can be made directly to the teacher or by bank transfer.
Primary school students may take lessons during the school day, with the approval of their class teacher. They may also take lessons after school. Secondary school students may have their lessons at break time, lunch time or after school. Year 12 and 13 students may have lessons during their study periods.
If you would like your child to have more than one lesson a week, additional lessons may have to take place after school. Should you wish your child to have a lesson longer than 30 minutes, this may be possible after school if the instructor’s schedule allows.
Enrolment in the peripatetic music lesson programme occurs shortly before the start of each new school term. As the programme is very popular, we strongly advise parents to sign up and secure their place as soon as the enrolment process begins. We strive to provide this opportunity for all interested students. Time and space are limited, however, lessons are offered on a first come, first served basis and the instructors will create waiting lists if necessary.
We recommend those students planning to take either the Rock School or ABRSM Music exams to sign up for two lessons per week.
If you would like information on how best to choose an instrument for your child, please contact your child’s music teacher or any of the peripatetic music instructors listed above.
