Ilona started her teaching career in 2011. Since then she has gained experience in teaching English as a Foreign Language across several age groups ranging from children to the retired, at diverse levels and in various settings like a language school, a state school and one-to-one teaching. As for her international background, she has worked as a volunteer in European conferences on topics like community building and family protection.
Ilona believes every child has unique qualities and deserves special care, development and respect. What she is most devoted to is aiding students to achieve their personal best. She considers it vital to adjust materials to her students’ needs in order to reach tangible development. In addition, she strongly believes that meaningful learning takes place in a psychologically secure environment, so she aims to establish rapport and a supportive atmosphere in her classes.
In her free time, Ilona’s preference is for active recreation like hiking, dancing and singing. She often goes for nice walks in the Pilis Mountains where she lives, does Hungarian folk dancing and sings in an amateur music band.
