This past weekend, Troupe 88298 traveled to the District 12 Jr. Thespian Competition held at American Heritage School in Plantation. Troupes from fifteen different middle schools came together for the two day competition. Thirty-two middle schoolers represented North Broward in various acting and musical theatre events. On Friday, the troupe presented the One Act play Meeting Sam and received an Excellent Rating. On Saturday, students competed in monologue, solo musical, duet and ensemble acting, small and large group musical, and pantomime events. The troupe earned 8 Excellent Ratings and 12 Superior Ratings. The troupe will travel to the Jr. Thespian State Competition in Orlando in February.
