“How do you get to Carnegie Hall? Practice, Practice, Practice!”
We are thrilled to welcome home our Concert Choir, Orchestra and Wind Ensemble from their amazing trip to New York City where they ‘Made their Debut’ performances at Carnegie Hall! In addition to rehearsals, the students had a whirlwind tour of the city that included midtown, Lincoln Center, Columbus Circle, tours of Juilliard, the Empire State Building, Times Square and many more locations as they explored the city by foot. Band and Orchestra students jammed with Guest Artist, ELEW and experienced an interactive workshop with Juilliard Guest Artists, DeCoda,Inc at Carnegie’s Resnick Educational Wing. While the band and orchestra rehearsed and had workshops, our choir students were under the baton of guest conductor and composer, Dr. Edith Copley. All of our musicians enjoyed the Broadway show, Carousel, meeting up with our Juilliard Guest Artist, Keve Wilson, who is a member of Carousel’s orchestra. We are so proud of this fantastic performance accomplishment. Congratulations to our musicians!
