  • Cappies Winners

The South Florida Cappies Organization held their annual Gala on May 22 at the Broward Center for the Performing Arts.  The cast of 9 to 5, directed by Brett Scott, and the NBPS Cappies Critics team, led by Tiffany Lutz, were nominated for twelve awards and took home three Cappies.  Dylan Jost was named Sophomore Critic, Quinn Devita won Comic Actress in a Musical, and Comic Actor in a Musical was awarded to Samuel Kelly-Cohen  The cast of 9 to 5 performed "Heart to Hart" for the audience of more than a thousand in representation of their Best Musical and Best Song nominations.  Awards are voted on by Cappies Critic Teams from local high school theatre programs. Critics attend performances and write theatrical critics, of which the top critics are published in local media. The 2017-2018 NBPS Critics team members Quinn Devita (Lead Critic), Mohammad Khalil, Eve Cohen, Madeline Finkleman, Dylan Jost, Evan Laufman and Daniel Haubner were published fourteen times this year.
