What can we say about Leah Finkelman?

The NBPS Junior has broken several records on the soccer field – most goals in a season (34), most points in a game (12), and most goals in a game (6).

In this season alone, as captain, Leah she has led her NBP Varsity Soccer Team to the third straight District title, first-ever regional title, and state semifinals.

When asked how she manages to keep organized, Finkelman stated “I’m very focused and I have a strong work ethic, so when something needs to get done, I get it done.”

Finkelman emphasized the importance of “getting involved, trying new things, and challenging [herself].” Keeping involved in Varsity Soccer, Varsity Track & Field, STEAM Captain of NBP’s All-Girls Underwater Robotics Team, Student Government, Level the Field Club, and several Honor Societies.

“My biggest accomplishment is verbally committing to the University of Pennsylvania,” Finkelman said.

“Knowing I will be playing Division 1 college soccer at a top university is an indescribable feeling and one that I'm so grateful for. College soccer has been a dream of mine since I was little and it's amazing to have made that dream a reality.”

“Because of NBP, I have made some of my best friends and have relationships with teachers and coaches that will last forever.”

“I wouldn't trade being surrounded by such a diverse group of people every day and being exposed to all the amazing opportunities that NBP has for anything.”

As far as her senior year, Finkelman hopes to lead NBP girls’ soccer to a state championship and to continue growing academically and athletically.
