The NBP Visual Arts Department showcased over 2000 works of student art this year! The GWC was transformed into a gallery of color, lines, shapes, forms and textures with works in 2D, 3D, Digital Art and Animation, as well as Film and Photography. The creative spirit was captured in a myriad of ways from animal portraits to self portraits, thought provoking films to photographs that transported the audience to other worlds.

CONGRATULATIONS to Kevin Phuc Giang whose AP 2D Design Portfolio won best of show. His cross disciplinary work intersected digital drawings, animation, music and analogue mediums such as paint and collage, took us into the world of vocaloids where he asked “What if they were real?” to Kevin “They can transport [him] and [his] emotions. Computers compose their music, they dance on stage but they are just holograms influenced by their animal spirit guides. The vocaloids however wish to be in our world. They can step out of the screen. They can hold jam sessions and even become our friends.”
Kudos to an amazing Arts Team, RoseAnn Vaszily, Ayla Rexroth, Sue Greeley, Hope Campbell, Paul Miller and Raimondo Di Egidio whose mentorship and engaging lessons guided our NBP Artists discover their creativity and hone their skills!
