Abby Elmúdesi is an active parent at North Broward Preparatory School and has served as a member of the North Broward Preparatory board of trustees for two years.
Abby is a stay-at-home mom as well as a consultant for Rodan+Fields, a premium skincare company in North America. She is president of the North Broward Preparatory School Parent Student Teacher Association (NB-PSTA), the co-chair of the PSTA used uniform store and a third-grade room parent.
In addition, she currently serves on the Head’s Council of her alma mater, Hathaway Brown School and has been a Hathaway Brown class correspondent for two decades. A committed philanthropist, Abby was the past president of the International Women’s Club of Santo Domingo and founded a nursery school in Juan Dolio, Dominican Republic nearly twenty years ago. Prior to relocating with her husband to the Caribbean, she worked at the Federal Reserve Bank of Chicago in Bank Supervision and Regulation as well as in the Office of the President.
Abby has three sons at NBP students at NBP include Michael, 10th grade; Jack, 6th grade; and Patrick, 3rd grade.
Abby is passionate about volunteerism and wanted to be active in her sons’ schools so she became a member of the board of trustees.
She earned her bachelor’s degree in business from the University of Miami and received her master’s degree from the University of Chicago in marketing and managerial and organizational behavior.
Abby believes that what make North Broward Preparatory School a truly exceptional educational institution is its students, faculty and parents. She believes that the socio-economic, racial, religious, and ethnic diversity contribute to the uniqueness of the NBP student body. She says that the teachers are strict and strong, gentle and loving, cool and patient with NBP children and serve as mentors, role models and friends to our students. She also believes that NBP has a parent community that is warm and inviting and embraces inclusivity.
