NBPS Parent Association Mission Statement

The NB-PA is an inclusive organization serving as a voice and resource for all NBPS families while supporting the school’s mission to accelerate each student’s academic and personal growth. We work to provide a strong sense of community by promoting the interests of NBPS in collaboration with the administration and teachers, facilitating communication between parents and the school and unifying volunteer efforts.

About the North Broward Prep Parent Association

Families from all three divisions lower school, middle school, and high school families comprise the membership. The NB-PA sponsors events and programs that unite all three divisions, enlighten our school community, and enhance our students’ educational experiences. Through the NB-PA parents and caregivers have many volunteer opportunities that allow them to participate more fully in their children’s school experiences.

As a result, with a combination of the NB-PA efforts and the support of the NBPS administration, the NB-PA has so many opportunities to unify families and friends. In so many ways the parent association gives back. Altogether families, staff, students, and teachers participate in activities throughout the school year either all around or in each school division. A Tailgate-Burger Bash and Homecoming Food Truck Frenzy at the beginning of the school year shows our initiatives for the entire community and how we care as an entire school. Staff and teacher giveback with a handful of special thankful events including Cookies and Cocoa at holiday time and our fun theme-filled week of Staff and Teacher Appreciation wrapping up the school year. The NB-PA will partner up with UNICEF to have a community service event every year.

This active organization is headed up and overseen by an executive board, elected by members of the community. Executive board meetings occur monthly and general board meetings where the community can attend and participate are offered three times a year (September, January, and May).
