University Degree: BA Illustration
Many years ago, after leaving university I taught a group of teachers an art lesson in my local community. I felt very relaxed and passionate about sharing my knowledge and I realised at the time that communicating effectively using clear and precise language structures made it easy for the teachers to follow. Those teachers loved learning new things in my first ever lesson and it was the first stepping stone towards a career in teaching.
Since arriving in China quite some time ago, I've been teaching English at international primary schools and kindergartens. The British School of Guangzhou is a very exciting place and it has allowed me to be ambitious with my ideas and use my flare of creativity to teach English to young learners.
Every child has their own way of learning and I’m passionate at guiding young learners develop their English language skills beginning with meaningful speaking games, singing and acting, leading to understanding.
In my spare time, I like to play football. I also like walking. I often do home DIY and I have modernised the appearance of my home in Guangzhou. I’m fond of graphic design and I love to draw pictures about daily events at home and in school.
