Staff Profiles: Nichola Arnott

British School Primary Teacher

Year 2 Teacher

I studied a BSC (Hons) in Behavioural Science at the University of Dundee, where I developed a passion for child development.  After completing the course, I worked as a learning representative for the communicators workers union in BT. Through this role, we worked in line with a local college to develop a learning centre and offer the employees evening course to develop their lifelong learning skills. This led me to develop my passion for teaching and I decided to complete my PGDE in Primary Education at the University of Strathclyde, Glasgow. Over the last 4 years, I have taught in a large International school in Vietnam, and more recently, in Bangkok.

I have a passion for travelling and I love Asian culture.  After travelling in Yunnan province during one of my summer breaks, I knew that China was the place for me. In my spare time I like to travel to exotic places and develop my diving skills.  Currently, I have dived in 5 out of 7 continents and I am looking forward to seeing more of our fantastic underwater world.
