Following this, I worked for a while as a teacher in inner London schools. After this experience, I moved to Slovakia where I believe I played a significant role in helping develop a starting international school into a well-established and thriving institution.
I believe that being fluent in four languages helps me understand and support students who are non-native English speakers. In addition, having a truly international family, helps me promote the open-mindedness and tolerance that we so need in our global world.
I had never visited Asia before moving to Guangzhou in 2018 but my family and I absolutely love living here. There are so many things to do and so many places to explore. In addition, we have a very warm and supportive community at the BSG so our social life is great too.
I moved here with my husband Jason, who is also a primary teacher, and two young daughters – Matilda and Olivia. They take up most of my free time but if I find a minute for myself, I like to go for a run, read and experiment in the kitchen.
