Hayley Trowbridge

Year 3 Teacher

I am delighted to join BSG as a Year 3 Teacher. I obtained a Bachelor of Primary Education in 2001 and have over 13 years of experience teaching Year 3 to Year 7 students. Guangzhou is my third international posting within China, having taught at The British School of Beijing and Dulwich College in Shanghai. Back home in Australia, I have been fortunate to teach in many schools across Western Australia; from Kununurra at the very north of the state, to Exmouth on the Ningaloo Coast, as well as both independent and state schools in Perth.

I am devoted to creating a stimulating learning environment that promotes individual achievement. I also believe in the importance of encouraging children to be ambitious, think creatively, solve problems and take risks in their learning. Working within Nord Anglia already, I had heard many positive things about BSG, making it an easy decision to relocate my family and join the school.

In my free time, I enjoy camping, baking, listening to music and exploring nature. I am eager to develop my floristry skills and it is also my aim to learn the guitar. I move to Guangzhou with my husband, Cameron, along with our three children who will join BSG in Year 2, Year 5 and Year 12. We are all excited to call Guangzhou our home and are looking forward to discovering more of this wonderful country and its culture.
