Mr. D. Sutton

STEAM Co-ordinator, Caernarfon A House Tutor & Computing Teacher

Mr. Darren Sutton graduated from the University of Essex with a BSc (Hons) in Computer Science with a specialism in Robotics and Intelligent Machines and a PGCE in ICT from Roehampton University. Mr. Sutton has taught in British curriculum schools in the UAE, South Korea and the U.K. working as both Head of Department and Director of Educational Technology.

Having worked in two previous schools during their start up phases, I have a wealth of experience in developing fun, interesting curriculum that challenge and stimulate pupils.

With a specialism in Robotics, I am passionate about bringing robots into the classroom and developing pupils' independent learning, problem solving and STEM skills. I have worked with pupils from Year 3 to 13 and have always strived to develop lessons and activities that are relevant and interesting.

I am excited to join NAIS and look forward to working with the staff and pupils to develop an exciting, forward-thinking and innovative Computing department.

Outside of the classroom I enjoy playing rugby and look forward to finding a new team to play for in Hong Kong.
