At The Village School, our students are prepared for responsible, successful 21st century global citizenship. In established partnerships with a wide range of university, industry, and public sector entities, internships provide our high school students with real world experiences in the workplace each summer.
In 2017, our students participated in internships at Texas Children’s Hospital, Methodist Institute for Technology, Innovation and Education, Barbara Bush Houston Literacy Foundation, David Young & Co/Young Intelligence, and Henderson Law Firm and a host of other companies and firms.
The Village School’s long-standing commitment to a rigorous academic curriculum challenges its students to be critical thinkers through this highly differentiated and experiential program. With its high intellectual expectations, competitive athletics, fine arts, and comprehensive extracurricular activities, Village delivers the highest-quality, well-rounded academic experience possible. Adding a top-tier competitive internship program serves to heighten The Village School’s hands-on learning philosophy.

From the companies
"My experience with The Village School, its students, and the summer internship program have been very rewarding. If granted an opportunity to work with other students at The Village School, I would surely jump at the opportunity because these interns come prepared to thrive, succeed, and purposefully contribute to the good of our organization and the world around them." -José Paulo Calvillo, Director of Operations Barbara Bush Houston Literacy Foundation
"We loved having Village School interns with us. They have exemplary personalites and were so great working with all of our agents. They are highly intelligent and have great social skills. They showed up each day with a smile and professional demeanor. They started off with a bang, creating a culture video after their very first day here which they continued editing over the course of the summer. They were instrumental in shooting footage for several different marketing videos and then editing them together in a way that made sense for a specific business/marketing initiative." -Addie Hall, Chief Operating Officer David Young & Company
