Jet Tila visits The Village School

Jet Tila, American celebrity chef and LA restaurateur visited Village today and gave an amazing cooking demonstration for our students. Chef Tila is currently the chef of The Charleston and Pakpao Thai and has appeared on Chopped, Cutthroat Kitchen, Iron Chef America, and The Best Thing I Ever Ate. 

Village students had the opportunity to ask Chef Tila questions about his career, how he got started in the business and all things related to food. The students were also treated to a cooking demonstration by Chef Tila where he gave step-by-step instructions on a perfect Pad Thai. "Chef Tila was a wonderful example for our children demonstrating how passion, hard work and resilience can allow you to realize your dreams," said Gabriella Rowe, Head of School.

Chef Tila's recent projects include the nationwide Modern Asian Kitchen, a fast-casual Pan-Asian concept and Kuma Snow Cream, specializing in shaved ice in New York City. He continues to build his extensive national TV and radio appearances while also looking for new ways to combine cooking, business and communication.
