Jodie Brivic, native New Yorker, has been with The Village School for the last ten years as a middle school science teacher. She graduated from Binghamton University and received her masters from Queens College.
Jodie also serves as the middle school activities coordinator. She does a phenomenal job bringing students together in creative ways. Her activities create school spirit, foster strong bonds between students, and celebrate the achievements of our students, teams and organizations around campus.
In 2016, Jodie was voted the Teacher of the Year to honor her for her outstanding work. She was also the first person voted ECAB Teacher of the Month in school history. She has also served as the Toshiba representative two consecutive years for the National ExploraVision Competition.
When we asked her what her favorite thing about Village was, she was quick to say, “The students and staff are amazing to work with. Middle school is really like a family. I also love the freedom that I have with teaching my students, the administration trusts that you know what’s right for your students.” That professional freedom has allowed Jodie to soar as an educator and all of her students benefit from her creativity, passion and knowledge.
